The Center for Online Evangelism is a full scale digital marketing agency for churches, schools, and ministries. The Center operates as a full-scale digital marketing agency for Seventh-day Adventist churches, schools and ministries. This also allows the Center to exist as a think-tank, providing our denomination with the latest information, best practices and training for those that work in the online mission field through their local church or school websites.

Job Summary
The content writer helps create, develop, and edit written content for the web. The intern will help write blogs, articles, emails, and marketing materials for the company, as well as checking materials for proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy. The intern must be able to produce content that is clear, informative, and persuasive. Other roles include researching topics, and monitoring trends in online evangelism.

Job summary
The Graphic Design intern will work closely with content developers to produce visually appealing products using both text and images. The intern will help to design graphics for brochures and websites, as well as create illustrations to be used on social media. The intern will also help in the design of logos, product illustration, and branding of websites. The intern will recommend and incorporate changes suggested by other team members. In addition, the intern will ensure that visual designs convey the desired message of the company.

Desired Skills

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Can work independently, as well as with a virtual team

The SEO intern will help to analyze, review, and implement changes to websites so they are optimized for search engines. Other responsibilities include helping to optimize landing pages, performing keyword research, exploring and applying content recommendation to generate SEO success; gathering and reporting data and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI, evaluating web analytics, working with content creators to boost SEO in content creation, suggesting changes to website structures, content, and other factors that can improve SEO.

Job summary:
The Social Media intern is responsible for designing social media campaigns for websites launched. The intern will determine the best social media platform to use and develop the appropriate strategy to increase online traffic. The social media intern will collaborate with content developer and marketing director to produce appropriate content for each channel. Other responsibilities include updating company’s Facebook page, launching and analyzing social media campaigns, determining which posts to boost, placing ads and tracking performance, monitoring and responding to comments, engaging followers, and copy editing.

Desired Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms
  • Experience in utilizing popular social media and the typical audience
  • Creativity and strong-problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within identified time frames
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn about new platforms
  • Some photography, video, and/or design experience

Job summary
The intern will use creative and analytical skills to help design, code, and modify websites for the organization. Other duties include creating page layouts, website styling, and making pages more appealing through use of animations and pictures. The intern will also maintain and update websites and stay up-to-date with emergent technologies, standards, data, and trends in the industry.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery
  • Experience with PHP back-end development
  • Experience with WordPress CMS
  • Understanding of relational database structure, simple queries and knowledge of how to use database tools, like phpMyAdmin to administer MySQL database
  • Knowledge of Ecommerce and important components required for such sites
  • Experience and the knowledge to maintain Linux webhosting servers in virtualized environments
  • Works independently, and with a virtual team
  • Responsive to feedback
